Ouvrage collectif - assemblé et quilté main - réalisé avec la collaboration des habitants de notre village à l'occasion du téléthon 2003 et destiné aux enfants malades de l'hôpital.

Chat coquin, chat mutin, méfions-nous du chat qui dort !

Un ancien quilt retrouvé chez maman (le modèle est issu du livre de Janet Kime : cats meow) ; celui-ci est la version "printemps", il a été réalisé dans des versions "été" et "automne", toutes deux offertes à des personnes aimant les chats. Il ne me reste plus qu'à réaliser la version "hiver".

(For persons loving cats : a quilt offered to my mother some years ago - the pattern was found in Janet Kime's book : cats' meow. This is the "Spring" version - I made it in the "Summer" and "Autumn" versions, and I now have to make the "Winter" version. The idea of a romantic cushion came from a trapunto greeting card bought at the "Il était une fois" shop.)

Voici venue la saison du violet qui m'a inspiré ce "violet work" dont le matelassage reste à faire.

"Flower show", d'après des dessins originaux de Betty Alderman (souvenir du Houston Quilt show - 2004).

 

The garden in May : all these flowers inspired me this violet work : "Flower show" (Betty Alderman's designs - I bought her book at the Houston Quilt show in November 2004). Hand quilting work in progress.
